Gina Bernal (2003, COL) and Andrew O'Connor (Yale '05, HLS '08) were married on September 15, 2012 at St. Paul Parish in Harvard Square. Among the guests were fellow '03 graduates Rachel (Vessey) Gibson, Michelle Kung, Monica Sullivan and Jeff Berton. The couple currently resides in Cambridge, where Gina works in marketing at Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts and Andrew is an associate at Ropes and Gray.

Reyna Hernandez (2003, COL) recently accepted a position at the Illinois State Board of Education located in Chicago & Springfield, IL as Assistant Superintendent. "I am honored to be serving as Assistant Superintendent overseeing the Divisions of English Language Learning and Early Childhood, as well as coordinating family and community engagement efforts, statewide. It is a privilege to be part of major changes to improve learning opportunities for children each and every day. I joined ISBE in Sept. of last year, the same year that I was admitted to practice law in New York State. It was a big year and I feel truly blessed."

Marietta (Papagapitos) Snyder (2003, COL) and Neil Snyder (2003) are proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Catherine Van Vranken Snyder. She was born on January 30, 2012 in New York City, and weighed 8 lb., 10 oz.. She keeps us quite busy, but we can't imagine life without her!

Lauren Hirshon (2003, COL) recently accepted a position with the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania located in Philadelphia, PA as Director, Research and Consulting. Previously, Lauren was employed by the Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board as a Senior Associate, Strategy and Innovation. In this new position, she will lead the organization’s research and consulting practice, which brings depth and practical know-how to the tough strategic and management challenges facing governments and nonprofit organizations today.
