In Memoriam

​Katie Urbanic

MOORE, Katie Urbanic Resident of Naples, FL and Cambridge, MA, formerly of Wayzata, MN and numerous places in between, passed away on January 7, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was 32. She has joined her father Mike Urbanic and her grandparents Stella and Charles Urbanic, and is remembered by her mother Joyce and grandmother Bernice, her husband Dominic, and numerous other family and friends. Katie grew up in Memphis, TN and Wayzata, MN, graduating from The Blake School in 1999 before attending Harvard. At Harvard she was a four-year Varsity letter-winner in Women's Soccer, and graduated magna cum laude in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and History and Literature. After college, she completed a Masters program in International Relations and Communications at BU. Katie had many talents, including writing, photography, and design. She loved traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, solving crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, and watching her husband's hockey games. Her love of life, compassion for others, strength, determination, and stunning beauty will be remembered by all. Donations can be made to the future Katie Moore Foundation at katiemoore.org.
